Professional Summary

With a commercial construction background history. As a carpenter who has started in the trenches and worked my way into the superintendent role. Whose hands on experiences in bringing up many building construction projects from footings to trim, and with many other carpentry technical knowledge in-betweens. In addition, with multiple renovations of existing building projects completed.

I decided to change up my role in construction building to becoming a building inspector to understand why codes are required for building and safety. To be that liaison to assist the public building community with code answering questions and code requirements. Currently working as the Building / Safety Inspector at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. Inspecting and performing quality control inspections of current projects such as Boiler installation, Dust collection systems, Rated wall assemblies, Shaft enclosures, Electrical bonding, Fire Suppression System, Glycol pipe pressure testing, Fuel line expansion loops and job work order performances of other trades. My previous Work experiences as a Building inspector are with the Arapahoe County Building department and with the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department. All have giving me the opportunity to build on my knowledge and technical skills how to navigate the code. Building Inspector Experience

Interpret and Inspect building codes with new and existing building construction to ICC and local jurisdiction code compliances; consulted with other agencies as needed to ensure the general public and building safety.

Examine building plans, detailed notes, specifications, UL listings and ES reports.

Assisted property owners, contractors and others with code interpretation and explaining code questions. Able to establish a working relationship with homeowners, contractors, architects. Coordinate with other Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Inspectors.

Investigate building complaints and building without permits, dangerous buildings. Issuing stop work notices if required.

Inspect multifamily housing, residential housing, basement, decks, roofs detached buildings, manufacture homes. Swimming pools, alternative construction.

Commercial buildings such as schools, churches, small commercial buildings as well as multi story buildings. As well as renovations and change of use occupancies. Certification & skills
