PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Training/Supervision
Served as Training Instructor for all Medical Training on an Army Installation. Combat Lifesaver Main Instructor; also instruct EMT-B, PHTLS, BTLS, and MEDIC-TC-3. CPR Instructor American Heart Association (AHA). Site Lead/Manager for forward deployed MSTC SWA Kuwait. Senior Training Facilitator for forward deployed MSTC Kandahar, Afghanistan.. Conducted and planned medical training for all medical personnel assigned to Division. Instrumental in development of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program for soldiers at Fort Stewart. Helped organize and staff a new Health Clinic for soldiers and family members. Managed a budget of over two million dollars for medical supplies and equipment. Provided mentorship and counseling to soldiers for over fifteen years. Managed the Medical Training and Test Board for all medical personnel on Fort Stewart for over sixteen years. Served as Liaison between DSI Security, Interstate Paper Factory and Rayonier Paper Factory. Served as Site Supervisor (Captain) for DSI and Interstate Paper. Volunteered with the Fort Stewart DYA Services as Basketball and Football Coach. Conducted quarterly Health Risk Assessment for
Military and civilian work force. Serves as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for Fort Stewart, Georgia, providing emergency treatment for over 30,000 soldiers’ family members, and civilians. Served as a Supervisor for custodial cleaning company. Supervising over 23 housekeepers and floor technicians for a college campus (Savannah College of Arts Design). Provided assistance to Doctors, Nurses and support staff in the implementation of new software for the Health clinics of all military branches. Managed hospital medical equipment and supervised 11 employees. Served as course coordinator for a college/University. Responsible for their Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) Program.
Research/Administration
Primary focus is to assist all Army medics to transition into the new 68W MOS Active duty/Reserve/National Guard. Train all Non medical soldiers medical task for an Army Division that were/are deploying to war. Site Manager/Lead Senior Instructor responsible for training soldiers before they head north to Iraq. Responsible for the health and welfare of three (3) other instructors, providing guidance and mentorship. Training all branches of service ARMY/NAVY/MARINES/AIR-FORCE. And foreign soldiers that are under the NATO umbrella. In-country to start-up MSTC new site here at Kandahar Afghanistan in support of the OEF/ISAF mission. Providing medical instruction and teaching to all NATO forces at Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Assisted and planned monthly Equal Opportunity Courses/Seminars. Provided quarterly surveys and Climate Assessment for Commanders under the Equal Opportunity Program. Consolidated and developed data to determine, appropriate medical topics to educate military medical community. Instrumental in groundwork for first Emergency Medical Technician Course on Fort Stewart, which has led to more advanced courses conducted. Consistently projected favorable image of organization when dealing with other organizations, military services, and customers. Provided mentoring and medical assistance for problem youth at a state sponsored program. Managed volunteers and employees in military and civilian work force.
