Timely delivered the whole data warehouse design and the implementation in Oracle 8i, which covered business process analysis, architecture design (system specification, data modeling, three-tier web application architectural design), coding, testing, documentation, and deployment to several clients. Key subsystems included a promotion data mining engine and category management module.
Led seven patents filings, one of which was tree-structured category mapping and was a key to enable the whole business model to work.
Designed and implemented a dynamic analytics engine specifically suitable for promotion performance analysis.
Designed and implemented a distributed data warehouse architecture that cost at only 20% of normal centralized implementation at terabyte level.
In management side (since March 2001 as duty of Dir of Eng), responsible for the operations of in-house production systems, responsible for product development, streamlining operation processes, setting up standard, policies and procedures for product development, working with marketing and sales team to shape and define product development and delivery strategy, managing projects, and managing several small teams (4 DBA, 2 web dev, and 2 QA).
