I am currently enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Guelph-Humber for the Media Studies and Communication program, specializing in Public Relations. Throughout my studies I have gained experience working independently, as a member of a team, and with minimal to no supervision. During this time, I have developed excellent computer skills, as well as proficiency and strong technical aptitude in the areas of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), E-mail, Publishing, iMovie, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop. I have great knowledge of how to control social media sites (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram). I have working knowledge of the Canadian Press Style standards and is able to prepare corporate material such as news releases, backgrounders and fact sheets. I have also developed the excellent ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, by preparing seminars and lectures in front of my peers, professors, other students and the public while maintaining objectivity within the university.

For the past four years I have been employed as a Cashier, Bakery Clerk, Floral Clerk and Demo Clerk at Longo’s Brothers Fruit Market. During this time, I have developed effective communication skills when responding to large volumes of customer service telephone and in person inquiries, requests, and/or complaints. In doing so, I have been able to problem solve in a timely and efficient manner by resolving customer and staff conflicts and addressing service inquiries. In addition, I have the ability to perform all duties with minimal supervision. I have the proven ability to work as an individual, or in a team setting to provide high quality customer service to customers and the general public.
