PROJECT:

Ground Truth June 08 to June 09

Client: Google India

Ground truth is a GIS based project that deals with the GPRS Navigation system using Google licensed maps. The functionality of this project consists of navigation from Area A to Area B with estimated time and speed. Navigation includes Street view, Point of Interests, Paved/Unpaved path, high way or local road etc. Making and integration of GPRS navigation includes stages like Geometry, Important roads, Intersections, Highway signs, Meta Lg, and RMI. Every stage consists of its own QC Stage where quality is the main concern of this project. After completion of all stages this will be integrated with path finder where it will estimates the time period for travelling.

This project has been implemented on USA, UK, Europe, Germany, Mexico, Canada etc. The project plan includes the implementation of same for 72 countries.

Responsibilities:

Testing the GIS city block application under live environment with 600 Operators.

Performing the load testing on the application by making extreme edits on GIS data.

Trouble shooting the application under GIS street view.

Understanding the Functional Requirements.

Writing test designs and test cases in quality center

Peer review of the test designs and test cases in quality center

Executing the Test cases in quality center

Conducted Functional, Regression testing, and System Testing for Various Modules.

Analyzing the test results, reporting the bugs using PVCS tracker

Creation of Peer review logs, Test reports and Defect reports
