ME Project: - Implementation of long reach WDM-PON using directly modulated RSOA.
In this we demonstrated a long-reach wavelength-division-multiplexed (WDM) PON capable of providing 104-Gb/s service to each subscriber. For the cost effectiveness (as well as the colorless operation of ONUs), we implement this network in loopback configuration by using directly modulated reflective semiconductor optical amplifiers (RSOAs) operating at 26 GB/s. Thus, the 104-Gb/s upstream signal is obtained by combining the outputs of four RSOAs at each ONU using the coarse WDM (CWDM) technique. To operate the RSOA at 26 GB/s, we mount it in a butterfly package (to minimize the electrical parasitic) and utilize the electronic equalization technique at the receiver. The long-reach operation over 120-km long single-mode fiber (SMF) link is accomplished by using Erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) at the remote node (RN). The results show that we can achieve the error-free transmission of the 104-Gb/s signals (obtained by combining four 26-Gb/s CWDM channels) in the wavelength range of 35 nm with sufficient power margins. To the best of our knowledge, this represents the first demonstration of the WDM PON capable of providing 104-Gb/s service to each subscriber.
Final Year Project : -Project On Implementation of PID Temperature Controller Using Lab VIEW
The project consists of a PC-based data acquisition unit that provides input and output Interfaces between the PC and the sensor circuit and hardware. A proportional, integral, and derivative controller is implemented using Lab VIEW. The effect of control strategies and controller parameters on the response of a complex control system, we use a computer simulation. One of the generic control strategies is the PID control algorithm. If PID controller is properly tuned, it will produce an acceptable control for most industrial processes. The PID controller represents the ultimate in control of a continuous process for which a specific mathematical description (transfer function) cannot be written. The air enclose is made of plastic. These consist of various temperature controlling devices such as fan as cooling device, heater as heating device, sensing device as a RTD.The entire temperature of an enclosed environment has been sensed by sensing element we use is RTD i.e. PT100 which on words gives that sensed analog quantity to signal conditioning circuitry. It is usually implemented using Instrumentation Amplifier. It amplifies low level signal from temperature sensor into high level signal to the ADC. The Special DCQ circuit is implemented which is used which provides better compatibility and function of data acquisition to pc with lab view software.
Mini Project : -FM-Transmitter
In this hardware for FM transmission is implemented. Using this different frequency channels are transmitted.88Mhz-108Mhz frequency range signals are transmitted and these signals are received within 10m range.
