The foundation of my technical experience began on PC's, Laptops, and Servers running Microsoft Windows and IBM OS/400. After one year as a Computer Operator I was promoted to PC Support Specialist where I gained valuable experience in PC hardware/software. I continued in this role supporting PC's, Laptops, and HelpDesk. I worked with trouble ticketing systems such as Track-It and HelpSTAR. I assisted the network team in building and troubleshooting HP Proliant servers and running Cat5 ethernet cabling. After five years I was promoted to Technical Support Specialist taking on more challenging projects such as Windows server backups using an Exabyte Magnum 1X7 LTO tape drive and Symantec Backup Exec 11d. I gained experience using Microsoft Routing and Remote Access and PPTP VPN to support remote connectivity of 80 warehouse locations spread out across the country.
