In the hourly work force I was trained to run and repair the following; Letter presses, Flexo Rotary Die Cutters (Ward, Staley, & United), Flexo Folder Gluers (Langston & Ward), Stitchers, Tapers, Specialty Folder gluers (Post & J&L), Corrugator (Wet & Dry end – Langston and Koppers/United). Bid into Maintenance and worked my way up to a Class “A” mechanic.

Promoted to from hourly workforce to 2nd shift Corrugator Supervisor and increased productivity from 15,000 lin. ft. to 18,000 lin ft. in 60 days.

Accepted the position of Maintenance Mgr.

Filled in for Supervisors on vacation in converting, corrugator, shipping, and hand trimmed orders for the corrugator.

Developed a Preventive Maintenance Program for the equipment in the plant. Worked with the local vocation school to assist in further training for the mechanics.
