Other duties included putting together a staff and managing a systems completion group in preparation of initial energization.

Overall responsibility for the implementation and management of all electrical modifications and activities associated with the EPU at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, completion of Watts Bar Nuclear Station Unit 2 and the completion of the Pascagoula Based Oil Petroleum section of the Chevron Oil Refinery. Major modification packages included the addition of a new 13.8kV station buss and associated controls including replacement of both station auxiliary transformers and associated buss; installation of 2 new trains of 13.8 kV switchgear; removal of existing 4.16 kV systems and installation of new electrical commodities associated with the condensate pumps, reactor feed pumps, and the MG drive motors. Modification scope also included all electrical work associated with mechanical modifications.

Duties include the development of schedule and estimate; establishing safety plan for work execution during both plant operation and outage windows; technical oversight during design development; supervision and craft manpower planning and management, management reporting, and coordination with plant operations to assess and manage plant impacts.

Other responsibilities included directing a staff of superintendents and engineers associated with all construction activities for the electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. The activities included material take-offs, procurement of materials and equipment, detailed scheduling, man loading, verification of installations, controlling cost, engineering constructability reviews and adherence to schedules.
