EDW Modernization-Nordstrom (March 2017 till now):

Improved data insights for Executives and Store Managers in Nordstrom by migrating legacy databases to Cloud(AWS), helping to solve data latency and scalability problems.

Working on Design and development for loading large data sets to S3, processing it in Spark and loading to relational and No Sql databases and creating visualizations out of the data using Quick sight and Tableau for the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Sales Reporting.

Worked on migrating the Sales Flash Reporting to AWS, Human Resources DataMart to AWS.

Also worked on creating and executing sunset plan to deprecate the legacy systems.

NGEN Enterprise Inventory Deployment-Nordstrom (Feb 2016 to Feb 2017): Enterprise Inventory Deployment project, which was a part of Nordstrom’s Next Gen program focused on upgrading the existing inventory management capabilities like Retail Demand Forecast, Item planning, Allocation, Scaling and Replenishment with new solutions.

Improved planning and forecasting efficiency by designing a new data model in Teradata for Retail Demand Forecast extracts and Item Planning extracts. This ironed out the inefficiencies in the Legacy data model.

As a Lead Engineer for a team of 3, mentored team members and conducted design and code reviews.

Worked on the performance tuning of the Teradata procedures, views, macros used in ETL processes.

Actively participated in the requirement review to evaluate the requirements and design review sessions.

Worked on release management and code deployment using GIT and setting up workflow in Control M, coordinating with multiple teams for the company wide deployment of NGEN project.

As a Lead Engineer for this project, worked with Senior Architects on the design, and Business, Analysts and Program Managers for requirement review. Designed, developed and implemented the advanced DataMart in Teradata.

Fulfillment Analytics Project- Nordstrom (Aug 2014-Aug 2015):

Eliminated data latency in the reporting system and built real time data marts for Fulfillment analytics reporting tracking Store fulfillment efficiency, drawing lot of appreciations from Store Managers. Designed, developed and implemented the features for creating real time Customer Order Management interface, building Price Type and HRMS DataMart in Teradata and integrating the data with real time interface done using Micro strategy.

Rack Pack and Hold Project -Nordstrom (Jun 2013 to Jul 2014):

Eliminated the manual effort put by buyers and Planners for handing Rack Pack and hold POs separately by creating additional metrics from source, modifying existing DataMart and reports to handle new metrics. Designed, developed and done quality assurance (ST, E2E) for this enhancement project to include Rack Pack and hold measures in transfer and receipt dataflow and planning reports.

Event Analytics Project- Nordstrom (Jan 2013-Jun 2013):

Created a new report for providing insight into new Back order metrics. Designed, developed and implemented the data model in Teradata and Oracle for reporting back order in Anniversary Event Sales dashboard in Micro strategy.

Alternate calendar reporting Analytics Project-Nordstrom (Jan 2011 – Dec 2012):

Solved the reporting time issues associated to the extra 53rd week that comes up once in 6 years in the company fiscal calendar by creating an Alternate Calendar in DataMart. Designed, developed and implemented the alternate calendar platform in Teradata and Oracle DataMart. This project was recognized in Nordstrom’s Q4 recognition program for its planning and error free implementation even after accommodating multiple change requests in a short time frame.

Import 2000 – Sears (July 2010 to Dec 2010):

Import2000 application is used to create and track new POs for Sears Holdings Corporation. Worked as a developer and successfully implemented enhancements and maintenance requests on Oracle forms.

Inventory Stager-British Telecom:

The Inventory Stager is a data warehousing application which accepts Network Inventory and Service Inventory as inputs and produces the configuration files required to be able to produce network performance reports associated with customer data. Worked as a developer in Abinitio and successfully implemented enhancements for this maintenance project.

Customer Service Systems Support-Orange Network, Keane Inc. (Feb 2005 to Apr 2007):

Mentor and SME for supporting the production environment of Customer Service Systems application of Orange Network. Customer Service System facilitates registration of contract customers and maintenance of their accounts.
