2013-2015. GLOBAL CONSULTING LLC _ Exploration Geologist _Consultant (for PDVSA) My main activities were focused to regional exploratory evaluation and risk assessment using seismic stratigraphy tools and tectonostratigraphy interpretation to study stratigraphic sequences in frontier and conventional basins

• Carbonate basins - Caribean area and offshore Cuba

• Neogene turbidite plays in shale tectonics environment - offshore Eastern Venezuela basin. Here, as an outcome, a new Play (carbonate interval) was proposed increasing probable reserves in this basin

During 2012-2013, I provided technical support during prospects evaluation phase in the offshore Gulf of Venezuela working as a regional geologist/ integrator within a multidisciplinary team. Among these duties, I was in charge to review and editing the final report and maps for the Venezuelan’s Ministry of Energy and Petroleum on this area’s prospects.

2012 -2013. BEICIP FRANLAB _ Exploration Geologist _ Consultant (for PDVSA) I was working in regional geological & geophysical data management to support prospects evaluation- definition and mapping in the Gulf of Venezuela. My work included

• Collection of regional geological and 2D and 3D seismic data

• Data Q/C

• Integration and synthesis of geological-seismic interpretation (seisworks)

• Structural and seismic stratigraphy analysis (depositional systems, facies, correlations)

• 1D basin modelling

• Risk assesment and reserve estimations

2005-2010. REPSOL-YPF _ Senior Exploration Geologist During almost 5 years, I was working with multidisciplinary teams in different activities related to unconventional and conventional plays and special studies on CCS and risk assesment. It can be summarized as follows

• Review of unconventional hydrocarbon projects in Northern Iberian Peninsula (Spain). Duties included data gathering of the latest on the state of the art of Shale-Gas plays (exploration and production) in order to develop a better understanding and judgment on this type of unconventional reservoir in targets areas to the company.

• Responsible for technical validation of CO2 sites for storage in saline aquifers in the onshore basins of north of Spain, ranking the risk of repositories due to geological, hydrogeological and tectonic characteristics of these areas. Final recommendations were made to support the final investment’s decision.

• Assessment and ranking of potential prospects in Cantabria - Santander offshore basin, North of Spain. Study of Naturally fractured carbonate in tectonically complex structural (salt) setting. After the evaluation it was increased significantly the number of leads at basin scale.

• Risk Appraisal and volumetric estimations of exploratory prospects and proposal on well location in the North margin of Cantabria, including non-commercial structures (for oil production) as potential sites for CO2 sequestration and storage.

• Preparation of geochemical databases (i.e.: temperature, vitrinite, TOC) for 1D modeling

(BasinMod) to support petroleum system analysis and risk evaluation.

• Geophysical-geological project carried out in Cantabria-Santander basin which included 2D and 3D seismic interpretation (Charisma ®) and mapping.

• 2D & 3D regional seismic interpretation (Charisma ®) and structural model in Cyrenaica Basin

(Libya) focused on fault seal evaluation at prospect level in the Cretaceous fractured carbonate sequences. Additionally, it was carried out the seal risks assessment.

• Proposal on alternative structural model in a complex sub-seismic fractures network based on further 3D seismic Interpretation and Structural Model in Cyrenaica basin, Libya. Maria Matilde Pacheco

• Participation in peer-reviews of prospects appraisal in Libyan assets (Murzuk basin).

• Mentoring junior professionals in Libya offices. 2003-2004. Research in Underground Gas Storage, NW of Argentina My project “Feasibility for underground gas storage in the Northwestern Argentinean Basin” was introduced to the European Marie Curie Program in cooperation with the University of Barcelona (Spain). This project is inedit and it was the first one of this type introduced to the European Program by this University (Main Author).

2002. WINTERSHALL _ Freelance Geoscientist

As a freelance geoscientist, I succeeded reviewing and giving technical support to the department of permits managements in the offshore of Brazil. My main activities can be summarized as follows

• Review of the exploration databases from the company in Espiritu Santos and Campos basins

• Data Q/C and create lithology maps to show sedimentary tendencies in order to improve velocity models for these Basins

2000-2005. Freelance Explorationist

I have been appointed to assist funded projects and mentoring junior geologist, participating as an Associate researcher specialist in sub-surface interpretation at the Structural Geology Department, Natural Sciences Faculty. University of Tucumán, Argentina. Projects on this program were focused in structural geology models to support possible scenarios for gas storage in the NW Andean basin (Argentina); 2D seismic interpretation and magnetic studies from surface and subsurface data in sub-basins in the NW Andean basin (Argentina) The mentoring program consisted of several regional cases of study in NW Andean basin (Argentina), integrating subsurface information, such as seismic (conventional 2D interpretation), gravimetric, magnetics, teledetection, structural geology and outcrops data. The program was addressed to structural geologist.

1996-1999. PDVSA_INTEVEP (Petroleos de Venezuela) _ Exploration Geologist I was involved in multiple projects related to regional studies in venezuelan’s basins, working as petroleum geologist within multidisciplinary teams. Those projects were regional studies in areas such as Maracaibo basin, east coast and Zulia Oriental; Monagas central, Mapirito region and eastern Maturin sub-basins at the Eastern venezuelan basin. My main duties included

• Surface and Subsurface evaluation

• Regional 2D seismic interpretation

• Integration of Geophysical and Geological information- 2D seismic interpretation, gravimetric, geochemistry, teledetection and structural geology datasets.

• Identification, prospect evaluation and definition and mapping of new plays The most important outcome was to outline and mapping new plays involving tertiary clastic reservoirs in tectonically complex area such as the Tala - Urica Folded Front Belt (Eastern Venezuelan basin). 1995-1995. OCCIDENTAL PETROLERA DE ARGENTINA (OXY) _ Exploration Geologist
