MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

Diagnosis and medical management of cardiac patients in the ER.

Diagnosis and medical management of acute& chronic cardiac conditions in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) & cardiology department (e.g; coronary artery disease, Valvular heart disease, hypertension, cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, peripheral vascular disease, pericardial disease, cor-pulmonale, pulmonary hypertension, sudden death syndrome, congenital heart disease, pacemakers, syncope.)

Perform pre-operative evaluation for cardiac patients.

Comprehensive cardiac interview, history and physical examination at the patient bedside.

Management of cardiac patients in the post catheter Recovery Department.

Analysis and interpretation of 12 lead electrocardiogram (ECG) .

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) according to American Heart Association guidelines.

Analysis of 24 hour ECG (holter ECG), radiology films, nuclear cardiac imaging.

Attendance & participation in Coronary angiography & percutaneous coronary intervention.

Participation in the Pacemaker follow up Clinic.

Attendance of staff rounds, meetings & Participation in scientific meetings.
