Functions/Duties:
1. Overall Safety, Health and Environmental supervision of these projects of Khatib & Alami, a consulting firm.
a) Conduct safety inspections to ensure all site activities are carried out in accor-dance to safety requirements; ensuring all workers comply with the safety require-ments.
b) Conduct regular safety inspections of materials, tools, worksite etc.
c) Prepares monthly safety report for the client.
d) Ensure Risk Assessment, Method State-ment, Permit to Work is submitted by the contractor before they will start their work.
e) Supervise, ensure and attend to all docu-mentation/permit/license related to work-place safety health and environment.
f) Ensure that the contractor will conduct daily toolbox talk, accident investigation and updating statistics and conduct safety training for employees.
2. Chair the Weekly H.S.E Meeting attended by the Resident Engineer, Asst. Resident Engineer, Contractor’s Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager, Project Engi-neers, General Foremen.

1. Prepares detailed designs and plans of buildings, bridges, water tanks, dams, retaining walls, roads and drainage cros-sings, chutes, flumes, inverted siphons, parshall flumes, head gates and other structures;
2. Reviews and/or specifications on quality of construction materials and supplies and workmanship for construction works;
3. Reviews finished works of draftsmen and tracers and does other works that maybe assigned by higher authority.
