Apr. 1995 to Jun. 1998: Sr. Manager of Competitive Analysis - Established the first group within Seagate with the competitive analysis charter and established the processes, reporting content and databases to perform the tasks in collaboration with the internal technical stakeholders to assist with and leverage the analysis. Jul. 1991 to Oct. 1993: Sr. Director Test Process and Software Development - Directed the test process design and architecture group, including the test process flow, test hardware design and test software script development. Implemented the first Seagate hard drive self-test and the first test floor real time data collection system and report generation database during this time

May 1987 to Jun. 1991 - Manager Quality Engineering - Implemented the first Statistical Process Control into Seagate’s manufacturing process, including: assembly tooling /component tolerance studies, capability studies, quality audit stations for continuous sampling plans and control charting. Also managed the test process failure analysis and corrective action for yield improvement team.

Dec. 1982 to Apr. 1987 - Manager Test Engineering Support - Hired as an Assoc. Engineer writing final test code. I soon identified a test equipment design problem resulting in artificially low yield. Was promoted to supervisor then of a large group of technicians for repairing and calibration of test systems. Then went on to become Manager Test Engineering Replication for a group of engineers, technicians and assemblers doing volume replication of thousands of pieces of test equipment with documentation for outfitting of our newly opened factories in Singapore and Thailand.
