Job Experience

Electrician’s Apprentice at Fighting Amish Electric in Berkeley, CA (early 2014)

I assisted with electrical projects including re-wires, crawl space and attic wiring, and troubleshooting. I became well-versed in the use of a myriad of power tools, and honed my mechanical and assembly skills.

Manager and Head of Advertising/Marketing at Capital City Runners in Tallahassee, FL (June 2014-September 2015)

I was the Assistant Manager and Head of Marketing at Capital City Runners, a running store founded by Canadian Olympian, Kevin Sullivan, in my hometown of Tallahassee, Florida. As one of the managers, I was in charge of day to day activities within the store, as well as product ordering and the keeping of inventory records. I became proficient in the RICS point of sale system, and am well-versed in using sales metrics to track productivity and profitability, while also planning for future growth. I was also responsible with choosing the beer for the keg each month; a task I approached with great care and consideration.

As head of marketing, I handled all of our various advertising channels, including social media, television, radio, digital marketing and SEO, and community outreach. I conceptualized, organized, and executed our first TV commercial as a part of a highly successful branding campaign that I created for the store. I also contributed countless edits to our webpage and implemented mobile optimization to ensure we remained at the top of the search results food chain.

Content Coordinator and Trade Show Lead at AlterG in Fremont, California (September 2015-June 2016)

My work as the Content Coordinator and Tradeshow Lead for AlterG focused primarily on crafting all of the copy for both their B2B and B2C advertising efforts, in addition to writing both clinical and strategic pieces. I also manned the helm of their social media accounts, and blog. I worked closely with the Sales team to help create the best marketing and selling strategies for each of AlterG’s numerous and varied customer channels, and supported the RAMs in the field. I also worked closely with the engineering team to produce written material disseminating technical information and product updates both to consumers and to AlterG’s crew of mechanics and technicians.

As the Trade Show Lead, I handled both the logistical side of things as well as taking part in and selling at the shows myself. Within the Trade Show environment, I performed demos of the Anti-Gravity Treadmill and Bionic Leg for potential customers. AlterG’s client base includes doctors, PTs, orthopedic surgeons, Athletic Directors for major universities and pro sports teams, Hospital DORs, and private individuals. I talked them through AlterG’s tech specs and scientific literature, and helped them to understand how AlterG could be a game-changer for their patients and their businesses.

Manager at Transports Running and Swimming Store in Oakland, California (July 2016-Present)

Currently, I manage a running and swimming store in Oakland. Similar to my previous managerial experience, I am responsible for daily operations within the store, as well as taking the lead in selling on the floor. Additionally, I help with marketing in the form of social media curating and email campaign creation.
