QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER [ JOLATA INC., CA, USA]

(February 2016 – August 2017)

• Worked with tools that would help in analyzing network data and thereby reducing the latency and delays in the network and improving the overall performance.

• Analyzed network traffic through different performance aspects like jitter, latency, attenuation and examined drops in the test results.

• Gained practical knowledge about different hardware components of networking like switches, servers, aggregators, and meters.

• Executed automation testing using 10G and 1G interface cards.

• Gained experience in installing, configuring and maintaining servers on racks and wiring them appropriately and documenting server details.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER [COGNIZANT TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, CHENNAI, INDIA]

(December 2012 – April 2014)

Was part of a team which supported AstraZeneca; biotechnology public limited company. Was trained in an application named SharePoint which is used to collaborate all the webpages of the company. SELECTED RESEARCH WORK (PROJECTS):

1.Security services for NFV (Master Project):

This project focused on implementing a new software component to the NFV architecture. This software component acted as a DPI domain. DPI functionality was extracted out of all the middleboxes and thus the overhead of having DPI at every middle-box was eradicated. NFV was simulated using clickOS and an OVS Vale switch was used for implementation. 2.Content Based Watermarking:

This project proposed a content-based authentication scheme for tampering detection and localization of binary images. The watermark was generated by the feature vector of the original binary image, and embedded back into the image by a structural method. Thus, the image was authenticated by the distance between the extracted watermark and the feature vector of the test image.

3. Reconstruction of 3D Face from a Single 2D Image for Face Recognition: The objective of the project was to reconstruct an individual’s 3D face model from one single frontal image of the person for face recognition. In this system, the Shape from Shading (SFS) algorithm was firstly adopted to obtain the depths needed. And then an interpolation algorithm based on Radial Basis Function was used to create the individual’s 3D face model from a Generic Model. Synthetic exemplar faces were then created using texture mapping techniques for recognition. 4.Security being intensified using HONEYPOT within the DATACENTER: This project discussed about analyzing and preventing attacks within a datacenter with the help of a HoneyPot system inside the SDN architecture. Artificial servers were used to lure the attackers and suspicious pings were redirected to the HoneyPot system to study about the attacker. Thus, the attacker would be unware about the fact that the attack is detected, therefore their activities could be easily tracked. 5.Chat room using client server architecture:

A chat room application was implemented using JFrame as a client server architecture in which multiple clients could exchange messages in a single window. Socket programming was used to establish the connection. Multithreading concept was used in managing the messages among various clients. 6. Monitoring logs generated by VMs:

The main objective of this project was to develop a framework to visualize the metrics generated by the VM using Kibana and trigger an alarm if it crosses the threshold value. The logs generated should be refreshed on a regular time interval period. The VMs should be up and running in which logstash should be installed to collect the logs of that specific VM. Elasticsearch and Kibana were set up in two different EC2 amazon instances respectively. 7.Enhanced Domain Handover Scheme in VoLTE:

Study about mechanisms required to provide carrier grade VoIP service during the migration from circuit switched networks to Evolved Packet System (ALLIP). A scheme called SRVCC is used conventionally as a handover scheme during the migration. But this scheme cause jitter while transforming voice and data. Thus, the study is about an enhanced scheme called the eSRVCC which eradicates this delay and provides an efficient handover scheme. ORGANIZATION AND LEADERSHIP ROLES:

Event Organizer – Played a key role in organizing the event, RIVIERA, an ISO 9001:2008 certified International Cultural and Sports Carnival.
