NOC Technician

Worked in a Network Operations Center in the Voice-Restoration Department

Provided Network Surveillance and Incident Management support for Time Warner Cable Broadband network Services as a member of the NOC VOIP team within Time Warner’s Herndon NOC.

Performed initial troubleshooting, problem analysis and isolation of network and voip events in accordance with TWC NOC incident management guidelines.

Facilitated and coordinated the flow of communications between the TWC NOC and internal Time Warner Cable groups, as well as external vendors and third party ISP partners.

platform, checked Phoenix calling card accounts, made necessary configurations

and corrections.

Configured customer’s ANIs in Sonus, configured carrier routes in Sonus,

added, deleted, and tested.

Monitored, tested, and did fault isolation of Trunk Groups, DS1, DS3, and E1 in

Sonus.

Maintained a high call completion rate by monitoring the ASR (answer seizure

ratio) and AHT (average hold time) and making route changes (VOIP and TDM

routes) in the DMS 250, GSP, and SONUS switches when necessary.

Verified status, configuration, and alarms for DS1, DS3, and E1

on Tdax and performed loopbacks for fault isolation.

Worked with IXCs and LECs to insure network performance, testing,

troubleshooting and escalating.

Configured SONUS routes for H323 or SIP protocols.

Verified router log status, interface status, and loopbacks.
