Oversaw facilities in NC and CA with an integrated team of up to 100 employees / contractors in design engineering, procurement, configuration management, and shop operations. Managed entire tool life cycle projects from design conception, assembly and test until training of field delivery teams. Supported field installation team 24/7 to ensure smooth, seamless delivery.
Created first-of-a-kind repair tools for reactor modification projects involving remote installation, in limited access areas, under 60-80 feet of water.
Earned Nuclear Energy Assembly’s Top Innovation Practice Award for shroud crack locating and sampling at plant Hatch.
Improved Inquiry to Order and Order to Remittance processes by developing standardized estimating templates and P6 level 3 schedules resulting in predicable commercial proposal pricing, delivery cost, and on-time delivery.

Manager – Site Tooling Operation, 2005 – 2008
Managed staff of 33 employees with a budget of more than $18M including integrated suppliers, cutter-grind operations and toolroom. Oversaw the site manufacturing MRO tooling requirements including design, procurement, distribution, regrinding/down-sizing, tool engineering productivity, and budgetary ownership.
Responsible for operating budget, inventory, safety, scheduling, and product support.
Developed and managed a pipeline of organic tool projects that offset inflation and made year-over-year productivity gains. Focus areas included insert and endmill downsizing, increasing supplier vendor base, and increasing yield of tool holder refurbishment.
Volunteered for additional role of Site Compliance and Integrity Representative responsible for investigating concerns, coordinating required training, and keeping the site abreast of changing Cooperate Compliance and Integrity requirements.

Senior Quality Staff Engineer, 2002 – 2005
Coordinated all of Wilmington customer related hardware escapes, returns, and corrective actions to assure repeat nonconformance did not reoccur. Customers included aircraft manufacturers, end use airlines, and internal GE assembly sites. Focal point for creating standardized hardware quality plans and acceptance plan records.
Earned award for Best Delivery to Engine Assembly by reducing escaping hardware non-conformances by 67%.
Reduced deferred material by 73% ($510K) by prioritizing design engineering support.
Periodically acted as the Plant’s Quality Leader. Some periods lasting up to six months.
