Emergency Preparedness Manager

Florida Department of Health in Duval - Jacksonville, FL - April 2015 to Present Responsible for the supervision of 4 full time employees and two part-time employees. Collaborates all hazards response efforts between local, state, and federal agencies to assure that health department provides health care in time for any hazards either man-made or natural. Assures appropriate inventory of 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse, delivery system of supplies and equipment, trained personnel, and proper plans are adhere to in regards to Federal, State, and local statues to meet grant mandates. Advises and performs needs assessments and medical requirements before, during and after major disaster emergency. Utilize quality improvement tactics and strategic plans to identify shortfalls and gaps in all for funded programs. Assures that 500+ DOH-Duval staff are trained in their respective response roles, and external stakeholders. Manages team in determining how to resolve the shortfalls and gaps. Ensures that the county-level notification and alternate system is viable and that Health Alert Network activities are developed, related to planning, preparedness and response. Serves as the Health & Medical Branch Director or Deputy at the Duval County Emergency Operations Center during all disaster or emergency response activities.
