Abdirahman Matan completed his bachelor of science honours program in financial Mathematics at Ryerson University. He is very interested in the idea that information technology combined with his actuarial background can help him reach great heights professionally. Abdirahman enjoys completing tasks in the most efficient way possible, is very ethical and follows rules as strictly as possible. Abdirahman loves interacting with people and is very social. He is currently considering enrolling into the Canadian Securities Course. He is also interested in writing the Chartered Financial Analyst level one exam in a year or two.

Learned the programming languages SQL and UNIX

Abdirahman’s greatest passion and personal interest is in soccer whether its playing it, watching it on TV or playing video games related to it (FIFA etc). Going to the gym for weight lifting and cardio are daily activities along with social media and following politics, fashion trends, music and multiple television shows. Abdirahman also has a huge interest in history having completed several courses during his undergrad to fulfill his liberal arts requirements. He is also interested in volunteering and getting involved with youth and other affairs in his community in the near future and maybe becoming a soccer coach for kids on weekends.

During his undergrad Abdirahman was involved in the Rotman International Trading Competition, having prepared for it for six months with other peers/friends in his Mathematics program.
