• As a self-employed contractor I have worked in various post- secondary institutions (i.e. Douglas College, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Vancouver Community College) for multiple clients.
• I am experienced in typing real-time transcripts of lectures quickly and accurately for hearing impaired students so that the students can follow along in class and have communication access to their professors and peers.
• I work in various fields of study (criminology, computer science and biology etc where students rely on me to get the main points, as well as the finer details of their lectures.
• During my time as a transcriber I have also worked on closed captioning for educational videos. This additional service has helped students with supplementary material assigned to them by their professors.
