The project:

This was a functional testing project, which involves testing the functionality of a customer facing merlinrx web application portal. The merlinrx web application is directly accessible to the physician who prescribes drugs for the patient based on real time data transmitted by the transmitter placed at the patient's end. My responsibilities in the project involved automated test execution leveraging qtp.

Responsibilities :

Enhancements and modifications of qtp automation frameworks (hybrid).

Creation of automated scripts in qtp using vb script.

Creation of library functions and enhancements in the existing functions according to requirements.

Execution of qtp scripts, debugging and result analysis.

Reporting of defects using rational clear quest.

Coordinating with the osc (onsite coordinator) and with the offshore team.

Weekly status update to client regarding the project progress.

Assigning and distributing the task among the team members, helping them to understand the project requirements and driving them to achieve the committed deadlines.

Developed test plan, testing strategy, test approach for a web based applications.

Key member in developing test case creation, test case execution, test case modification.
