As a Business Operations Analyst, I worked as a consultant creating operational corporate documentation for doing business in the state of Kentucky and completed the required documentation to register the company as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. I also worked with suppliers to establish an eCommerce web site for the company and analyzed and implemented strategies to grow the company according to the business plan including training plans, brick and mortar store front design, and merchandising.

As a Senior Business Analyst, I routinely participated on multiple project teams using business analysis practices and methodologies, including Agile/SCRUM, Kanban, and waterfall. I conducted research, reviewed information, and interviewed business and technical customers to define project requirements; then clarified those requirements in terms of user stories which dictated the tasks to be accomplished by developers; and tracked project progress with JIRA and MS Project. U.S. Air Force, Scott AFB, IL 1988 – 2002

As a Requirements Analyst for the Military Airlift Command Small Computer Technical Center, I reviewed, analyzed, and documented customer requirements for stand-alone UNIX micro-computer systems, local area networks, multi-user systems, graphics imaging systems, and computer aided drawing (CAD) systems and provided economical, cost-effective technical solutions to customers. I also met with those customers to determine project scope, identify risk, establish impact, and build consensus on a basic systems implementation approach according to the SDLC model. As a Network Systems Supervisor, I supervised, trained, and mentored network systems admin staff and provided guidance for airman development. I also developed a reliable disaster and recovery strategy to ensure network systems data was accurate and accessible. As a Network Systems Manager for the Air Mobility Command Computer Systems Squadron, after training a team of 30 system professionals, I planned and led that team to migrate 600 customers to the first ever Air Force Novell Directory Services-based network. Afterwards, I implemented a standards-based architecture by providing specifications analysis, price quotes, and technical solutions for Air Mobility Command customers worldwide. I was then chosen to represent the command as a Headquarters USAF team member to plan and implement the first Windows Active Directory network in the U.S. Air Force. Additional duties included training new officers in the use of MS Project.
