Reviewing, studying, correcting and preparing calculations and documents such cable schedule, load list, lighting lux, power sockets outlets, voltage drop, short circuit, power factor, load flow and power simulation manually and by using ETAP, THORN and DAILUX Softwares.

Planned, lead, controlled and supervised power substation construction activities such as erection, installation, testing, commissioning of transformers, generators, switchboards, distribution boards, motors, pumps and related cabling and wiring.

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Receiving, reviewing, studying and replying to the Transmittals, Memorandums & Letters from the Contractors and internal KOC Asset Owners.

Ensuring the supplier’s/manufacturer’s electrical equipments/materials proposed for approval/inspection comply with project’s requirements, client’s specifications and requirements and finally adheres to updated KOC Electrical and HSE Standards.

Attending and witnessing FAT at vendor’s/manufacturer’s factory for all kinds of switchgears, transformers, generators, cables, etc. before they arrive at site and raise concerned punch points.

Attending, witnessing and approving SAT for equipments/materials arriving at site prior releasing for construction activity.

Attending walk through & inspections at on-going project site as client representative and recording progress and raising punch points if any.

Assisting Managers and Senior Engineers in preparing and finalizing documents related to different stages of project.

Coordinating and involving with fellow engineers in solving issues and hurdles arise and recommending mutually agreed technical and managerial solutions.

Supervised and monitored the erection, installation, testing & commissioning of substations building, switchgears, AC/DC UPS, battery banks, generators and transformers.

Worked on execution and installation of distribution boards and junction boxes, VSD’s, HT/LT motors, pumps, indoor & outdoor lighting and security devices.

Ensured and inspected pre & post construction testing of equipments for testing of switchgears, cables and busbars etc. (Continuity, IR test, Meggar test & Hi-Pot test etc.).
