I am a talented, highly adaptive software developer with one year professional programming experience and more than 10 years self-taught. Software Developer

Riskbone, LLC – Chicago, IL

- Designed and developed C++ services that interface and provide fnancial data from our backend to the web-based frontend through Websockets and RESTful AJAX interfaces, and that stores data on PostgreSQL databases, for which I was designing tables and writing efcient queries.

- Re-engineered and optimized low-latency C++ services for risk management systems. Services connect to CME Globex and ICE exchanges to get, parse, and send live FIX messages, retrieve and send orders to the network, and analyze fnancial data.

- Sysadmin of CentOS 6 servers in our ofce and at our datacenter: installed servers at our datacenter with a strong focus on security, managed users and permissions, wrote Bash scripts for task automation and app deployment.

- Managed a network of a dozen machines at our local ofce and our datacenter, from the creation and updating of routing tables to the installation of switches (Cisco IOS) to allow fast transmission of UDP multicast data (using IGMP snooping).

- Assisted the frontend team on JavaScript based applications used for data visualization.
