Head of six-member team of mechanics responsible for repair and maintenance of over 100 Generators in FOB Frontenac, Afghanistan, ensuring that Operational Readiness Rate of over 90 percent was maintained.
Worked on Cummins, FG Wilson, Whisperwatt, MQ Power, GenPower, Fermont, Olympian, Caterpillar, SDMO and Perkins Generators, ranging from 3KW to 450KW.
Ensured scheduled services are carried out in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and manuals, including but not limited to change of engine oil, oil filters, fuel filters, Air filters and coolant filters, testing of Coolant protection level and battery electrolyte using hydrometer and refractometer, inspection of electrical connections, inspection of fuel, lubrication and cooling systems for leaks, to mention but a few.
Performed inspection and adjustment of valve lash and injectors.
Troubleshooting faults in mechanical and electrical systems.
