Oversees the tracking of legal documentation and processes including work permits, residency visa expiry dates, Onboarding and off boarding pipelines and scheduling the cancellation of residency visas for leavers
Ensures the safety of employee documentation, including passports and original certificates.
Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination
Provide terminated employees with outplacement or relocation assistance
Manage all company registrations and licenses and provides regular updates to the Leadership team regarding any legislation that might impact the business
Manage the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning department (MMUP) - ensures all engineers have completed the necessary requirements to become registered engineers
Take a lead role in the merger between Hyder and EC Harris from a government affairs perspective, liaising with government officials to ensure a smooth transition of licences and company registration'
Identify the Engineer in Charge and ensures that they meet the requirements of the MMUP department to maintain the validity of the trade license and renewal
Maintain a tracker of the engineers in charge for all activities listed on the MMUP company certificate
Develop and implements the vision and strategy for the Government Affairs function
Monitor, tracks and influences policy trends and legislation; identifies risks for the company
Strengthen employee and line managers’ awareness and understanding of company and country policies
