Senior Electrical Specialist - North Refinery Maintenance Division
Saudi Arabia
As Senior Electrical Specialist in ARAMCO Ras Tanura Oil Refinery (North Plant), main duty involved retrofitting electrical switchgear and preparing recommendations for equipment upgrade with the goal of increasing plant service factors.
#1 in the Call-out/Call-in Roster for subject matter expert.
Serves and acts as Safety Officer during Turnaround assignment.
Specific Project Involvement:
Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution: Involved in installation of main substations with the following components; 138 kV oil circuit breakers and switches, 138 kV oil-filled current transformers, overhead ACSR wiring connections, 138 kV/13.2 kV, 30 mVA transformers, and Siemens distribution switchgear (oil-filled and vacuum interrupter types). Direct-burial cable installation from main substation to different plant motor control centers and medium voltage distribution transformers.
Saudi Arabia Oil Refinery Facility Reconstruction: Participated in reconstruction of the fire-damaged gasoline blending facility at the South Plant of the Ras Tanura Oil Refinery. Reconstruction work involved safe removal of burnt cables and wiring of motor operated valves and pump motors; and installation of new switchgear, direct - burial cables, and new motors.
