Providing installation, configuration, upgrading, and sunsetting of AIX 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 6.X, and 7.X (with VIO with HMC), Red Hat Enterprise 5, 6, and 7 (creating VMs on VMware VCenter and also hardware installs) with Red Hat Satellite, Solaris 8, 9, 10, and 11, HP-UX 11, and SuSE 9 & 10 servers for various IBM clients. Primarily administrated all AIX, Sun Solaris, and Linux systems at Mechanicsburg facility, including production, quality control, and development and test servers. All AIX servers resided on IBM pSeries servers as virtual LPARs, the Linux systems on VMWare ESX 3.5 and 4.0 bare-metal servers, the VIO systems supporting the AIX, and the Solaris on various classes of Sun enterprise servers. Administration included installation, configuration, patching, upgrading, and retirement of any system. Also, migrated the SuSE servers supporting the AIX VIO from version 10 to 11. When on call, did the same for Indianapolis, IN, Terre Haute, IN, Westminster, MD, Duncan, SC, and Garden City, NY servers also. Revived and upgraded corporate-wide Nagios administrative monitoring system for all corporate servers.

Assisted in migration and consolidation of all corporate data centers to a single center located at Sungard in Carlstadt, NJ, and provided full documentation of administrative functions and duties for handover to contractor HCL of India.

Worked short-term projects migrating Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange mail systems. Also, took part in a short-term project migrating Sun Solaris servers to Red Hat Enterprise 4 operating system. A recent project entailed installing racks of Dell 8650 servers with Red Hat Enterprise 4 systems and upgrading other systems from SuSE 9.3 to SuSE 10.1 along with several individual workstations. This included developing a cluster of IBM p510 servers by installing and configuring AIX 5.3. LPARs were designed for use with Oracle Financials databases and in-house developed business applications. All installations were accompanied with patch application and upgrading to current system standards and the configuration of NIS, DNS, FTP, bonded NICs, Samba, Unicenter, and Veritas Netbackup.
