INTERNSHIP:

YOKOGAWA TRAINING SCHOOL

This training was done in our college by the Yokogawa Team from 27th March 2017 to 31st March 2017. The training was about DCS and PLC Overview. We learnt to practice on various DCS-PLC software’s. We also learnt about the different devices interacted with each other. We learnt a lot during this internship.

KELTRON EQUIPMENT COMPLEX

The internship at Keltron Equipment Complex was my first experience to the industry. It was a seven day workshop from 4th July 2016 to 10th July 2016. The internship covered various aspects of an industry like Fabrication Shop, Transformer Winding, Electro Plating, Security and Surveillance Group and Technology Development Centre. The workshop gave a general idea of how a typical industry looks like and how they operate.

WORKSHOP:

SHAASTRA 2016

Shaastra 2016 was organized by IIT MADRAS where we attended two workshops. One was about Computer Vision where we learn about image processing and augmentation. The other was about Bioinformatics where large amount of data can be stored in a single strand of DNA. The workshop was effective and we learned a lot a basics on the above subjects.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT:

DENTCARE DENTAL LAB Pvt.Ltd

From college we had a one day industrial visit to DentCare Dental Lab at Muvattupuzha. There we learned about how artificial teeth’s were made. The process started from molding, cleaning to fabrication and packaging. The teeth’s can also be manufactured by 3-D printing. It was a huge lab with almost 2000 work staff. The overall experience was great and we learned a lot about manufacturing process.

PROJECT:

ENERGY EFFICIENT WEATHER MONITORING SYSTEM (MINI PROJECT)

It is a device that is used to measure various environmental parameters and at the same time saving energy on the process. For this project we had to learn about designing, coding and fabrication. The device consists of sensors to receive the input parameters and a LCD unit to display the result. It was a three member project and my role was coding the device.

ACHIEVEMENT:

Secured 6th place in Techathlon 2016 at ICT Academy of Kerala.
