Analysis and Design of Composites, UAV Wing Design and Manufacturability Designed a composite wing for UAV, selecting the best fiber, matrix materials, for parabolic loads. Engineered a composite lamina using micromechanics having FOS 1.5, a minimum thickness of 0.05mm. Performed tensile, compression, shear and fracture testing on Instron and obtained lamina properties. Applied parabolic load on a wing in Solidworks Simulation and performed static, buckling, flutter analysis. Optimized FOS to 4.3 by achieving the lightest weight of 1.5kgs using Solidworks optimization analysis. Design for Manufacturability, Re-design of Vacuum cleaner Designed a Vacuum cleaner from concept to end product by implementing Quality Function Deployment. Improved Design efficiency up to 33% of 24% and reduced components by implying DFMA rules. Using DFA, reduced the manual and automated assembly cost up to $6.32 by maximizing part symmetry. Using DFM for injection molding, reduced part cost up to $0.93/part, reduced cycle time, molding cost. Using FMEA, identified failure modes, prioritize failures and recommended preventive maintenance. Advanced Product Development, OTIS gen2 elevator

Designed and improved System level reliability, maintainability and life-cycle cost models for OTIS gen 2 elevator. Calculated and improved system reliability up to 74% of 35%, implying MTTF to 2900 hours of operation. Developed and estimated preventative and corrective maintenance cost up to $68000 over time of 30000 hours. Significantly reduced Lifecycle cost up to $5000 with preventative maintenance over the span of 30000 hours. Applied FMEA to deduce risk elements and remedies provided to make a safe, optimum design. Graduate Engineer Trainee, 10/2014 to 05/2015

Ashtang Healthcare Pvt.Ltd – Idar, GJ

Successfully managed production activities so all orders were shipped on time. Input and keep track of demand, bill of materials, inventory record into ERP system and generate reports. Investigated and implement ideas for quality improvement, increased productivity and cost reduction. Applied DMAIC and RCA for improving quality measuring current performance and improving the process. Monitored product standards and participate in Lean principles to improve process efficiency and optimize the layout. Trainee, 06/2012 to 07/2013

TATA technologies, Ahmedabad – Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Created 3d models, assemblies, mechanical systems as differential, Geneva using Creo and Solidworks. Worked on mechanisms as projectile motion, static analysis, force -balance and dynamic analysis. Created detailed drawings, BOM, updating drawings with ANSI Y14.5/ASME standards. Performed stack-up analysis for complex assemblies and apply GD&T. Performed static analysis in Pro/Mechanica of different types: 3D, plane stress, Plain Strain, axis symmetry. Trainee, 09/2013 to 10/2013

Dhruv Institute Of Engineering And Technology – Ahmedabad, Gujarat Created CNC part programs for fully Automatic vertical grade Milling and Lathe machines. Performed machining procedures, dry run, tool set-up, made necessary adjustments, maintenance. Used CNC and manual equipment to perform rough and finishing machining. ACTIVITIES: ASME Student member 2015 - present, ISHRAE Student member 2012-2014, Participated and leaded team of 4 in Robotics competition - IIT Gandhinagar. Volunteer and organize robotics competition at techfest.
