• Planning a New System Load Spring 2017
o Completed the design project with a team of 2, using PowerWorld software. o Reduced system losses by 21 percent, even at the most economical proposition.
• Closed Loop Controlled Converter for Induction Motor Spring 2017 o Successfully designed and simulated a closed loop controlled neutral point clamped, 3-level converter using multicarrier PWM modulation, with a team of 2. MATLAB was used for simulation.
• Traction Drive System for an Electric Vehicle Fall 2016 o Devised and simulated a bi-directional boost converter and an inverter using PSIM. Components (e.g. IGBT) were selected via appropriate calculations. Project was accomplished with a team of 2.
• System Planning for a New Wind Farm Fall 2016
o Spearheaded a team of 6 for the project involving, transmission planning assessment and cost effective and reliable transmission design. Simulations were performed using PowerWorld.
• Solar PV Inverter for Water Pumping Application Spring 2015 o Orchestrated the design, simulation and construction of an actual hardware model consisting of a boost converter, an SPWM H-bridge inverter and a DSP controller, for water pumping application. Project was successfully executed with a team of 5.
o Made use of a single phase induction motor to drive the pump and used MATLAB for simulation. PAST EXPERI ENCE

• Conducted detailed analysis of electrical machines such as high voltage transformers, synchronous motors, induction motors, generators and electrical drives in continuous process plants.
