Responsibilities (In Microwave Planning/Tx Planning)

Link Planning

MW Link engineering done for 2500 links for SDH, Hybrid and PDH links on Connect tool considering all parameters as per network requirement which increased protection of overall network from 23% to 56%.

Interference removed in all 51 BSC’s by re -planning the existing frequency spots and polarization direction to improve network operations.

Traffic Optimization

Capacity dimensioning done by re-parenting or BW optimization which helped in delivering Bandwidth to 400 customers.

NMS Operations

Node addition, topology creation, SNCP, MSP testing,VC12/VC4, Alarm Monitoring in NMS, Loop Testing, Traffic Shifting done for all 700 HOP’s deployed across Punjab to enhance existing network with the Ethernet services feature of IP technology.

Re-engineering of Network

Traffic shifting done for 60+ Subnets ensuring the 1+1 protection strategy which resulted in maintaining overall customer perceived radio network availability 99% by reducing the network outages.

IP Planning

IP Planning done for Huawei Nodes to enhance the alarm monitoring centrally via NOC teams to reduce the alarm escalation and alarm rectification time.

Responsibilities (In RF Optimization and EMF Planning)

Network Optimization

Drop call rate of network improved to 0.59 from 0.65 by optimization of new & old cell sites and timely drive tests for ensuring best quality.

Achievement of NPS Targets

NPS Agenda attained by consistently achieving rank 1 by Competitive benchmarking & continuous improvement of network in NPS towns by adding repeaters, IBS or cell sites as per the requirement of area.

Maintenance of Network Quality

Network Quality Index of RF improved to 76.59 from 74.32 as per desired targets every month by optimizing worst cells of all sites for voice & data.

Successfully launched 4G across 19 towns in Punjab

Co-ordinated with field teams deployed across circle for collection of critical data points for submission to Department of Telecom as EMF and BHQ reports.

Project to measure the velocity of debris flow so that preventive measures can be taken timely to protect lives of people staying nearby to hilly areas in winter season

Project 1 – To get more precise and accurate results in determining the distance of projected point from the center point in games like shooting, archery etc.

Project 2 - To automate the railway gate management system using 8051 microcontroller to prevent accidents happening at unattended railway gates

Project 3 – To automate the car parking system i.e., manage entry, parking and exit of all vehicles entering the premises

and alarm rectification time.
