IT Support Specialist/Server Operations Manager
Direct the activities of system and database administrators to ensure optimum operations of our storage infrastructure. Accomplishments include:
Datacenter Architecture Design – Designed and implemented move from a physical environment to virtual machines. Built HP c7000 blade enclosure with direct attached 3par using Hyper-V. Utilize Oneview 3.0 to manage server profiles, virtual connects and 3par virtual volumes.
Disaster Recovery – Designed the company Disaster Recovery Plan. Moved DR site into a Co-Lo. Set up requirements and contracts for the co-lo space.
Exchange Administrator – Conducted various migrations of the Company’s emails system from a pop3 system to Exchange 2007. Three years later migrated 2007 to 2010. Five years later led project and assisted in migrating 2010 to exchange 2013.
Office 365 – Project manager and the administrator for company’s office 365 system. This includes Exchange online, SharePoint, and Office,
Backup Administrator – Utilize Backup Exec 15 and Veeam 9.5. Current process backups to disk then to tape. Manage offsite storage archiving at Iron Mountain.
ImageRight Administrator – Setup document types, users, email services and upgrades to the ImageRight system. Work with stakeholders and vendors to streamline indexing and create new workflows.
Manage HPE server hardware – order and provision HP blades and ProLiant class servers. Utilize iLO management port and Oneview to manage server updates and troubleshoot server issues. Able to provision new server and create arrays and logical drives.
3par (SAN) Management – Organize and manage all of the 3par 7400 and 8400. Run reports on performance and space utilization. Create virtual volumes, set up the Adaptive Optimization, and set up replication. Also use Remote Copy for replicating virtual volumes to the DR site.
HTLM and website design – Dreamweaver design and update of intranet website and marketing website used by independent agents.
Microsoft Licensing – Expert knowledge in Microsoft Licensing. Brokered Enterprise Agreement. Leveraged end of year incentives and saved 12 percent on the EA. Also proficient in MPLA and old select agreements.
SSL Certificate Management – Purchase SSL certificates for VPN, Webservers and Exchange. Moved to wildcard certificate to cut down on web certificates cost. Responsible for keying certificates and keeping them up to date.
Manage Window Server – Proficient at server 2008, 2012 r2 and 2016. Set up DNS, DHCP and AD. Setup ADFS and ADFS proxy to sync with AD Connect to begin Office 365. Use Windows clustering for high availability between Hyper-V host.
Networking – Setup and installation of Dell SonicWALL’s, Fat Pipe appliances, Cisco Router utilizing the GUI. I have a solid knowledge of networking architecture both on the WAN and LAN sides.
Hyper-V and VMware – Manage Hyper-V 2012 r2 and 2016 Hyper-v Server for production server. Set up clusters between two nodes using AD as a file witness. Utilize CCM running on VMWare. Able to use VSphere and Vcenter. Expertise in both VM workstation and ESXi. 5.5 and 6.0 for the Cisco Call Manager. Use both for managing virtual machines and for high availability.
Remedy Force – Use remedy force for incident, change and problem management.
ITIL – Implemented parts of the ITIL Foundations. Change, Incident and Problem Management. I am a member of the Change Advisory Board.

IT Operations Manager
Desktop Support – Setup WSUS to update Windows 2000 machines. Troubleshoot PC and printing issues.
Quickbooks – installed, updated and troubleshoot Quickbooks.
Quark Express – Learned and mastered Quark Express to write and publish country club newsletter.
Website Design – Learned Dreamweaver and created the website www.inwoodgolf.com.
