Access Authorization/Fitness For Duty Analyst

Responsible for interpreting regulatory guidelines and laws and apply broad, in-depth knowledge of cross-functional programs and processes.

As a Reviewing Official (RO) I review all background investigations and all aspects of fitness for duty results to ensure accuracy completeness.

Possess a detailed knowledge of the Security Screening Information System (SSIS database) as well as e-Port – Equifax which is used to help badge individuals at Cooper Nuclear Station.

Review any derogatory information and investigate any attempts by employees, prospective employees and contractors to falsify or conceal derogatory information.

Possess a detailed knowledge of the Personnel Access Data System (PADS) which allows access information to be downloaded and accessible to other utilities.

Conduct fingerprinting for personnel requesting unescorted access at CNS through the use of Cross-Match Electronic Fingerprint Capture System.

Utilize the US Department of Justice Immigration and Naturalization Service Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) System.

Throughout this time, I have been able to demonstrate leadership qualities, especially during refuel outages. As a team leader, I am responsible for initiating, reviewing and completing elements to support the badging of incoming personnel. During outages, I act as the primary contact for the offsite background providers.

In addition, I am the single point of contact for the interviewing psychologist. I am responsible for initiating and completing such elements while utilizing NetMeeting. Overall, I provided contributions that reduced the badge time from 3 to 2 days.

Utilizing Microsoft Word I am able to initiate a new or add to a Procedure at Cooper Nuclear Station.

For approximately three months I was the Acting Security Services Supervisor. As an Access Authorization Analyst I handle sensitive and confidential material on a daily basis.

Advise on policy issues and maintain awareness of changing standards. This position requires that I maintain a high attention to detail and that material must also be neat and precise. I earned and maintain a Class B Permit from the State of Nebraska allowing me to alcohol test on the Intoxilyzer Model 5000EN. This allows me to coordinate, implement, track and maintain the records for the administration of the random, pre-employment, pre-access, post-accident, and for-cause drug screening program at CNS.

I frequently perform calibrations on the Intoxilyzer 5000EN. This position requires that I interface with the onsite Quality Assurance Department as well as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and interact with management at multiple levels within the organization. I am certified and have conducted incoming, exit and random whole body counts for personnel requesting access to the Radiological Controlled Area (RCA) at Cooper Nuclear Station.
