HR at Empire,
I am interested in the Warehouse Associates/ Forklift Operator position as posted on ziprecruiter.com. I oversee the performance of staff and volunteers as the Person in Charge (PIC) within food manufacturing at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). I believe that my five-year experience qualifies me for this job.
As the Senior Team Leader, my primary duties involve ensuring OSHA and FDA compliance of food manufacturing at Feed My Starving Children. My daily tasks involve manually wrapping pallets, loading and unloading trucks with pallet jacks and forklifts, and keeping accurate records of all inbound and outbound products. I manage and update Team Leader checklists to ensure completion of all job facets such as product lot tracking, good manufacturing practices, and food quality/safety. I act as the on-site Person in Charge and direct the staff to ensure smooth operations. I follow through with paperwork submissions, faxes, emails, and phone calls if FDA or OSHA emergencies occur.
Additionally, I complete weekly office maintenance and site inventory. I also manage new-hire training, answer phone calls/ voicemails, distribute building keys, and issue security codes. I create checklists and reports to ensure proper upkeep and organization for each of these tasks. I have two years experience at co-leading interviews, which requires me to prepare our conference rooms by cleaning the table, business cards, complimentary water bottles, official paperwork, and other office stationaries.
I frequently use Microsoft Word and Excel, but have equal proficiency of PowerPoint. I use these platforms to communicate with volunteer groups via phone and email. I prepare volunteers for success by securing donations, online check-in, explaining FDA policies for food manufacturing, and other logistics (e.g. location, schedules, etc.). As for customer service, personally work with hundreds of volunteers on a regular basis and direct vendor deliveries to the loading docks.
My Secondary Education degree at ASU and student teaching provides me with the necessary skills to not only synthesize content well, but also deliver that information to audiences with varieties of learning styles. I use these public speaking skills daily during FMSC orientations.
I am confident that my leadership qualities and office admin experience will qualify me for an interview. I am able to provide work samples of anything mentioned above and professional references upon request. I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Jonathan Richard
