WORK EXPERIENCE

Muncie Power Products - Full Time

Job Summary: I set up and ran 3 FANUC machines. Two of them were vertical Mori Seki Mill, and the other was a horizontal Akuma Mill. The parts I ran on the 2 Mori Seki's were all sorts of covers and adapters. On the Akuma I ran nothing but housings. Daily routines would be to set up different fixtures for different parts/ jobs and load programs and offsets. If offsets wasn't saved before then I would have to find the offsets on my own and would have to make program edits if needed too. If tools broke or wore down I would have to change them. Also had to checked, measured and deburr all parts I ran (all sorts of calipers, Mics, thread gages, etc.). I used a CMM to measure all the housings I ran. When finished with the job I also drove a sit-down forklift to send the parts to the wash area. Also used the forklift to get my parts and fixtures and to throw away my chip bin. Also cleaned machines on the daily (sweep around the machines, check coolant levels, clean chips off the machines).
