Summary of the CV

B.E. (Civil) from MBM Engineering College, Faculty of Engineering, University of Jodhpur in year 1977. I have a total experience of almost 40 years spanning in various parts of India and overseas. My expertise is in construction, supervision and preparation of projects reports of Highways and Buildings, along with maintenance and strengthening of existing highways. I also have an experience of road pavement condition evaluation, material testing and laying bituminous concrete mix. My spectrum of expertise covers preparation of detailed project reports, feasibility studies, pavement evaluation, economic evaluation, and comparison of various design methods.

While my tenure in Government Department I was responsible for monitoring the progress of the works, conducting meeting with Subordinate Engineers and contractors, achieving the targets, following the quality and the specifications.

During my tenure in International Project and Private sector I majorly focussed on single handed execution and preparation of Project reports and directly dealing with the concerned ministries. I am well conversant with the construction management, work program and contract conditions and implications on construction projects.

Name of assignment or project: Construction of Makhir University including Administration block, Mosque, class rooms, guest houses, DG room, internal roads and complete development of university area of about 70 acres.

Location: Puntland, East Africa

Estimated cost: For first Phase about 10 million USD.

Client: Ministry Of Somalia

Main project features: The construction of the entire university area in collaboration with Kuwait based consultancy firm. The first phase of the project included the construction of Class rooms, Administration Block, Laboratory, Guest Houses, DG room, and the like.

Positions held: Independent Incharge handling the project.

Activities Performed: Daily Inspection and supervision of all the works executed by the contractors, my responsibilities included the execution of the entire project within the time frame, dealing with the Ministry officials and reporting to the President of Puntland

The first phase of the project is complete.

The paperwork of Second phase of the project is under process.

September 2011 – September 2015

Working as Chief General Manager in a multinational consultancy, Intercontinental Consultancy of Technocrats (PMC along with other ongoing projects).

Main project features: The proposed Information Technology Park is located at IMT, Manesar, 18 km from Gurgaon City Centre. It is spread over an area of 10 Acre. It has building envelop area of 23932 Sqm and total buildup area of 16583 Sqm including service apartments, parking area in the basement, an IT office, service apartments and a commercial area.

Positions held: Chief Project Manager independently handling the project.

Activities Performed: Inspection of work at important stages or as and when required by Project Manager to review work-in-progress building works and preparation of various reports

Name of assignment or project: Project Management Consultancy Services of Maruti Suzuki India Limited

Location: Rohtak, Haryana, India

Main Project features: The objective of the project of proving track is to create facility to conduct various types of testing on different adverse road conditions created for testing of passenger cars by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Worth about 180 cores,

Responsible for Checking of estimates, preparation of tender documents and all the information regarding on-going works and new proposals including State Highways and PMGSY works, along with passing of bills and extra & excess items submitted from various divisions in PWD, Jodhpur circle.

Responsible for liasoning with client officials for project management purposes. Major requirements were implementing Quality assurance requirements and doing bid evaluation and performance review of contractors.

Monitoring of all the works carried out under zone level including checking of estimates, tender documents, agreements, extra & excess items sent by the various SE’s and NAREGA works operated in Ajmer zone.

Responsible for construction, management and overall project administration in respect of administration of staff, policy matters of department, survey, geotechnical/ sub soil investigations and interpreting the existing geo- technical data and foundation design for major bridges. Job responsibilities included project planning, preparation of specification requirement, contractor selection and contract management.

Being the senior most official I was holding the charge of Superintending Engineer during major part of the tenure (2007-09).

Responsible for layout of alignment, geometric curves, modified the design of road as per site conditions in some portions, maintained the existing road stretches during the construction period, measured the roughness of the pavement during construction to ensure the quality of construction

April 1998- Sep 1999, Executive Engineer on Deputation (Chief Resident Executive) RSRDC, Delhi

Construction of Chanakya Puri Guest house with luxurious facilities such as Capsule Lift, Central Air Conditioning, Fire fighting systems, internal roads leading to a project costs of Rs 9.39 cores. Construction of Boys Hostel, Girls Hostel, and Married Student hostels, Staff Quarters along with construction of internal roads at Netaji Subhash Chand Institute of Technology, Dwarka, Delhi. Project Cost Rs.11.95 Cr.

Reconstruction of highly moderated Rajasthali Emporium, Baba Karag Singh Marg with State of the Art Capsule lifts, Central Air Conditioning system and fire fighting systems. Project costs about Rs.3.15 Cr.

Construction of Hospital building at NOIDA including internal roads. Project costs Rs.6.45 cr.

Liasoning, coordination and monitoring the progress of work, development of Quality Assurance system for the project, material management and contract administration.

Responsible for up gradation of work so that there is strengthening of pavement surface as per the requirements of traffic projections done for the various Rajasthan districts.

Responsibility included maintenance widening and strengthening of roads, repair of drainage system, city works, pavements and solders of roads.

Construction of 4 CDA works on Jaipur- Sikar Road.

Feb 1993 – May 1995 Assistant Engineer, PWD (Sub division), Delhi

Major Addition and alteration of Governor House (Jodhpur House) including furnishing, landscaping, installation of lifts. Project costs about Rs. 2.7 Cr.

Regular maintenance of Jodhpur House, Rajasthan House, Bikaner house and Rajasthan Pavilion.

July 1992 – May 1994 Assistant Engineer, PWD (Sub Division), Jaipur (Executive Engineer, City division, Jaipur)

Addition, Alteration and maintenance of SMS hospital, Malviya Nagar dispensary, Chief Secretary and Director General of Police’s Bungalows, Ministers Bungalows and Senior Beurocrats bungalows.

Construction of new ward, Cath labs, Cardiology OT, Cobalt Unit, and many other labs including Burn ward.

May 1984 – July 1993 Assistant Engineer, PWD (Sub Division), Delhi

Responsible for construction of Rajasthan house which was an 8 storied building. The entire project was appreciated by the Chief secretary and the other Senior Beurocrats. The total cost of the project was Rs 3.15 cores.

Major Addition and alteration in Rajasthan Pavilion at Pragati Maidan during INDIA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR in 1986 with the facility of newly introduced Automatic Doors Technology.

Responsibility included all quality control tests at quality control labs established on Project Sites, along with preparation of extra and excess item slips,

Regular addition, alteration and maintenance of Governor House Jodhpur house, Bikaner House Rajasthan house (including Old Block) along with addition and alteration of Rajasthan pavilion in subsequent trade fairs held annually.

Construction of CC roads (Internal roads) in Jodhpur House, Bikaner House and Rajasthan House.

Sep 1982 – April 1984 Assistant engineer (on deputation) Rajasthan State Co operative bank (APEX Bank), Jaipur

Responsible for construction of 100 MT, 250 MT, 500 MT, 1000 MT godowns (94 nos) under World Bank Scheme in Chittor District, Udaipur District, Banswara District, Dungarpur district involving re-allotment of work to new contractors and suspension of defaulter contractors. The responsibility included close supervision and progress of works and to satisfy the World Bank Delegates from Sweden for inspecting the projects. The whole project cost was about Rs.70 lacs.

Sep 1981 – Sep 1982 Assistant Engineer, Bhilwara

Construction of more than 160 kms of gravel road and C D works under famine relief operation in Bhilwara controlling more than 7000 famine labors.

Responsible for supervision and quality road works, maintaining all records including preparation of all famine works estimates.

Construction of more than 130 kms gravel road and C D works under famine relief operation in Falodi, Jodhpur District handling more than 12000 famine labors.
