Summary of the CV

B.E. (Civil) from MBM Engineering College, Faculty of Engineering, University of Jodhpur in year 1977. I have a total experience of almost 40 years spanning in various parts of India and overseas. My expertise is in construction, supervision and preparation of projects reports of Highways and Buildings, along with maintenance and strengthening of existing highways. I also have an experience of road pavement condition evaluation, material testing and laying bituminous concrete mix. My spectrum of expertise covers preparation of detailed project reports, feasibility studies, pavement evaluation, economic evaluation, and comparison of various design methods.

While my tenure in Government Department I was responsible for monitoring the progress of the works, conducting meeting with Subordinate Engineers and contractors, achieving the targets, following the quality and the specifications.

During my tenure in International Project and Private sector I majorly focussed on single handed execution and preparation of Project reports and directly dealing with the concerned ministries. I am well conversant with the construction management, work program and contract conditions and implications on construction projects.

Name of assignment or project: Construction of Makhir University including Administration block, Mosque, class rooms, guest houses, DG room, internal roads and complete development of university area of about 70 acres.

Location: Puntland, East Africa

Estimated cost: For first Phase about 10 million USD.

Client: Ministry Of Somalia

Main project features: The construction of the entire university area in collaboration with Kuwait based consultancy firm. The first phase of the project included the construction of Class rooms, Administration Block, Laboratory, Guest Houses, DG room, and the like.

Positions held: Independent Incharge handling the project.

Activities Performed: Daily Inspection and supervision of all the works executed by the contractors, my responsibilities included the execution of the entire project within the time frame, dealing with the Ministry officials and reporting to the President of Puntland

The first phase of the project is complete.

The paperwork of Second phase of the project is under process.

Main project features: The proposed Information Technology Park is located at IMT, Manesar, 18 km from Gurgaon City Centre. It is spread over an area of 10 Acre. It has building envelop area of 23932 Sqm and total buildup area of 16583 Sqm including service apartments, parking area in the basement, an IT office, service apartments and a commercial area.

Positions held: Chief Project Manager independently handling the project.

Activities Performed: Inspection of work at important stages or as and when required by Project Manager to review work-in-progress building works and preparation of various reports

Name of assignment or project: Project Management Consultancy Services of Maruti Suzuki India Limited

Responsible for construction, management and overall project administration in respect of administration of staff, policy matters of department, survey, geotechnical/ sub soil investigations and interpreting the existing geo- technical data and foundation design for major bridges. Job responsibilities included project planning, preparation of specification requirement, contractor selection and contract management.

Being the senior most official I was holding the charge of Superintending Engineer during major part of the tenure (2007-09).

Reconstruction of highly moderated Rajasthali Emporium, Baba Karag Singh Marg with State of the Art Capsule lifts, Central Air Conditioning system and fire fighting systems. Project costs about Rs.3.15 Cr.

Major Addition and alteration of Governor House (Jodhpur House) including furnishing, landscaping, installation of lifts. Project costs about Rs. 2.7 Cr.

Regular maintenance of Jodhpur House, Rajasthan House, Bikaner house and Rajasthan Pavilion.

July 1992 – May 1994 Assistant Engineer, PWD (Sub Division), Jaipur (Executive Engineer, City division, Jaipur)

Addition, Alteration and maintenance of SMS hospital, Malviya Nagar dispensary, Chief Secretary and Director General of Police’s Bungalows, Ministers Bungalows and Senior Beurocrats bungalows.

Sep 1982 – April 1984 Assistant engineer (on deputation) Rajasthan State Co operative bank (APEX Bank), Jaipur

Responsible for construction of 100 MT, 250 MT, 500 MT, 1000 MT godowns (94 nos) under World Bank Scheme in Chittor District, Udaipur District, Banswara District, Dungarpur district involving re-allotment of work to new contractors and suspension of defaulter contractors. The responsibility included close supervision and progress of works and to satisfy the World Bank Delegates from Sweden for inspecting the projects. The whole project cost was about Rs.70 lacs.

Sep 1981 – Sep 1982 Assistant Engineer, Bhilwara

Construction of more than 160 kms of gravel road and C D works under famine relief operation in Bhilwara controlling more than 7000 famine labors.

Responsible for supervision and quality road works, maintaining all records including preparation of all famine works estimates.
