QA Tester, MALAM-TEAM, IL January 2010 – December 2011 Project: Smart Public Transport System

This Project was designed to implement a universal smart bug / train card in several public transport providers and to provide automated methods of tracking the vehicle fleets, storing financial data, passenger analytics, travel routes, and analytics of the vehicle mechanical components. This system contains a smart-ticket, a card reader and smart cash register- an onboard computer which interacts with the GPS, announcement system and mechanical components of the vehicle, a maintenance system for automatic software updates and database updates for both smart register and onboard computer, and dozen or so interacting databases for various information such as the ticket catalog, financial information, passenger analytics for the transport providers, route systems, purchase and travel history per customer, a copy of the content of every smart card for restorative purposes, and mediation systems between different transportation providers and outsourced retailers.

• Wrote/reviewed test plans based on Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Requirements Document and Use cases

• Analyzed system requirements and developed detailed test cases for Functional and Regression testing

• Tested the functionality of Back-End software and GUI interface on the various system components, including contract management, pricing, route management, station management, vehicle fleet management and card issuing and sales management

• Performed stress tests and operational acceptance tests on cards in conjunction with related hardware including card issuing stations, card printers, and smart registers.

• Meticulously tested and reviewed changes to every data base, including ticket type and pricing, route and station implementation to verify compliance with BRD
