It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my resume to be considered for a position teaching English language courses with HiOffer. I have recently come back to Los Angeles from four years abroad in Budapest, Hungary teaching English as a Foreign Language. My passion is for teaching in a multicultural, urban environment in small groups, or one on one. As a highly approachable and compassionate teaching professional, I am confident in my ability to be a valuable part of your team of educators.
I have included my resume, which I believe shows my experience in teaching, specifically the English language. While abroad, I had the pleasure of teaching not just Hungarian students, but many international students. My experience ranges from teaching English to the very beginners (A1), through professional business English (C2). I am comfortable teaching both British and American English, having used a variety of course books and curriculums. Not only do I have experience in a wide range of ability, but also in age, having taught students in lower primary to older adults.
While most of my teaching as been in a classroom, I have often incorporated technology into learning, as well as conducted private tutoring sessions via video chatting. I am a compassionate and diligent teacher, who is very sensitive to every student’s level and need. I provide individual support, as well as positive encouragement.
