The scope of work is broken down into five major components, including civil, structures, facilities, rail & transportation, and systems with project cost $1.17 Billion.

Independently evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to site development projects.

Coordinate all technical disciplines and ensure that all technical scope in project performed according to the Metropolitan Airports Authority (MWAA) specifications and Virginia Dep. Of Transportation (VDOT) rules.

Manage and coordinate design efforts and activities with all project personnel in all disciplines and departments which includes, but not limited to: foundations, facility’s utilities, system & duct bank, storm sewer system installation, columns, pier caps, bearing pedestals, retaining walls, cut and covers, metro pavilions, gluing precast bridge segments, post tensioning (PT), as well as rebar, formwork installations, engineering take-off quantities, material procurements, placing and inspecting of cast in place concrete and installation of precast concrete beams, installation of support of excavation (soldier piles and shoring boxes), and earth work (mass excavations and backfilling).

Mentor and direct the work of entry and mid-level employees for skills development; review work progress and results and provide direction as needed.

Provide technical advice regarding design, transportation, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs and analyzing construction deficiencies by implementing engineering techniques in order to troubleshoot construction failures and suggest engineering and technical solutions by providing engineering department with documentations such as field change documents (FCD), work orders, daily inspection reports

(DIR), deficiency reports (DR), request for information (RFI), and much more.

Monitor QA/QC activities, maintain Inspector's Logs & Records, contractor's work activities, construction progress and inspection milestones and ensure that responses are complete in compliance with the contract documents.
