Responsible for the monitoring and control of the shaft sinking sub contractor’s day to day works and progress. Reviewed their submitted work programs and evaluated against actual accomplishments. Liaised between the sub contractor, the various support group of the main contractor and the client’s consultants of the project. Prepared materials and equipment procurement schedules. Monitored ground improvement works (grouting) excavations, installation of rock supports and quality testing ensuring that these are done per contracts specifications. Responsible for the planning, drafting of construction method statements, actual execution and recording of works in excavation, installation of ground supports and ground improvement/stabilization works. Coordinated with other engineering disciplines and support groups with the tunneling crew on the day to day activities and logistical requirements .Reviewed and counter checked the ground support categories prepared by the client’s engineering geologists, monitored the installation and tested their integrity and strength after installation and ensured that these complied with the required applicable codes and accepted engineering standards. Implemented the safe conduct of tunneling and shaft sinking following accepted international practices, the design specifications and client's site instructions. Assigned as the Designer’s representative in the recovery and re start up of a 6.8 meter diameter NFM-Wirth EPB tunnel boring machine that stalled due to adverse ground condition.The project is the underground component of the Tabriz Metro Rail Organization.

Responsible for the overall supervision and control of the entire tunnel boring machines and its day to day operations and all related activities. Warranting the construction process and proposing solutions for the problems that arise during the TBM operational stages.

Liaison between the tunneling group and the management of the project. Drawing up daily progress reports. Prepared and reviewed TBM Instruction Sheets and computed the appropriate EPB pressures, tail grout volumes and pressures and other operating parameters.

Responsible for counseling and training the TBM personnel in producing the appropriate grout mixtures and ensuring correct injection, producing the t proper soil conditioning dosage for effective excavation and judging the applicability of the used solution and building the correct application and installation of the segmental linings This work involves a 6.88 m diameter NFM EPB Shield tunneling under heavily built up locations that has to be re launched after long stoppage due to serious ground settlement and collapse.
