Responsibilities: Network administration of LAN / WAN, computer setup & configuring, software / hardware setup & support, internal & external e-mail support & maintenance, software license management, LAN design & support, WWW, FTP, VPN & e-mail server design and maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all computers (Alpha’s, PC’s, & Blades) and network devices I.e. switches,routers, printers, servers and workstations. Create a robust IT info structure for corporate and client dependency.

Installed dedicated printer servers for all printers, to assist employees time management. Upgraded the LAN from a HUB’ed 10mbs LAN to a switched 100mbs LAN, then to a Switched gigabyte LAN which increased network transfer speed up to 1000 times faster. As the company expanded, connected all floors to the LAN with no downtime. Implemented a nightly backup routine for the data server with revolving archival retrieval to 15+ years. Put a post office on the main server and gave all employees the ability for local desktop email. Migrated that email server to “off-site” with backup generator support. Installed a T-1 into the main LAN, and created the ability for local desktop web browsing, as well as Internet and local email functionality. Upgraded our data bandwidth to 10mbs than to 45+mbs. Upgraded the existing NT server to a multi drive SCSI system, then upgraded that Windows based file server to a multi array Synology based NAS server. This saved the company large revenue from purchasing server client access licenses. Modified the storage capability to a seamless 36TB RAID system. Implemented a Disk-Station mirror for seamless sustained access in the event of a complete hardware failure. Created the companies’ first Web server and FTP servers. Created “Remote Access Servers” for various employees to “dial in” to the company, to connect to the LAN for various data acquisitions or transfer. Upgraded the existing RAS methods for several secure VPN servers for the employees and various client database access. Created the companies first Web based Email server with WWW access.
