I have been working in a pharmacy since 2008, starting off as a clerk then getting my tech license. I work very well on a computer and can catch on any computer system. I catch on quickly, and I love to help people.

EXPERIENCE

Pharmacy clerk/Pharmacy tech; Dismukes Pharmacy Luling, TX 2008-Present

On March of 2008 I started working for Dismukes Pharmacy as a clerk. My duties as a clerk was to wait on customers and keep the front end maintained. I then was inspired to go and get my Pharmacy Tech license. I got my certification and became a Pharmacy Tech, my duties then was to type prescriptions, run prescriptions on insurance, and fill prescriptions. I also kept the pharmacy cleaned and maintained. I also filed prescriptions.

Pharmacy Tech;Gonzales Memorial Hospital (Hunter Pharmacy Services) Gonzales,TX June 2013-November 2013

I was a weekend and a prn tech for the hospital, my duties were to restock omnicell, type up physician orders and to make sure meds that was not in omnicell were in patients med boxes. I also restocked crash carts if needed. This was a side job while i still maintained my full time job at Dismukes. I had to cut this job short because Dislikes was starting to open up on weekends and was going to need me on the weekends. I really enjoyed the hospital environment and would have loved to work full time if there was the position available.

Pharmacy Tech: Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital Luling,TX March 2014-July 2014

This was another weekend job I was able to work when my boss at Dismukes got sick he stopped opening up on weekends and i wanted to get back in the hospital field. I maintained the onmicells and typed up physician orders also i made sure patients had meds in their med boxes if the meds were not in the omnicell. This was another job that was cut short due to landing a full time job at a corporate pharmacy that required me to work on weekends.

Pharmacy Tech: HEB Gonzales,TX July 2014-Feb 2015

This was a job I landed intending to spread my wings and get more experience. I wanted to try a corporate pharmacy instead of a small independent pharmacy. My duties there was to type and fill prescriptions, bill insurance and maintain the pharmacy. My old boss at Dismukes passed away and his wife and daughter asked me to come back and offered me more pay to help out. So i ended up on going back to Dismukes.

Pharmacy tech certification through a continuing education class at Texas Lutheran University

SKILLS

I can pick up any pharmacy computer system fast. I am very computer inclined and is very dedicated on helping people.
