Professional Accomplishments
Database and Web site creation and maintenance
Created, wrote and maintained a database and corresponding web sites for TDcharge, an accounting database and entry system used in Technical Division at Fermilab for over 10 years. This allowed user entries, secretary entries and report generation used by most of the administrative staff in Technical Division. It was based on Microsoft Access but had many manually attached .ASP, .NET, VB, JavaScript and HTML additions to make it user friendly and securely accessible via the Internet.
Created, wrote and maintained a database and corresponding web sites for Technical Division Property Management at Fermilab. This database combined the unstructured data throughout the lab into an easily accessible and secure way for users to manage their assigned property. This also had Label Printing abilities to print labels for the equipment based on the data in the database.
Created, wrote and maintained a database / email system to collect user inputs about the quality of the jobs manufactured in the Technical Division Machine Shop. It involved a web site and email response by the users to notify management of the user’s feedback.
Created, wrote and maintained a database to track and keep users informed about the Lifting Fixtures available for use with the many cranes in Technical Division at Fermilab. This was considered to be a database of much importance due to the environment of Safety First that permeates the lab.
Installed, configured and maintained a 54 node Thin Client system of Dell Thin Clients and Windows Terminal Servers (Server 2000 migrated to Server 2003 migrated to Server 2008). These were used as user work stations and general purpose Safety Kiosk Terminals and were placed throughout Technical Division to maintain legal requirements of access to Material Safety Data Sheets in all buildings. This is still in use today after being initially placed in service 15 years ago. I created and maintain many of the web sites published by the Safety Kiosks.
