TRW AUTOMOTIVE (1992- 2007) Farmington Hills, Michigan Manager Product Development Engineering, 1997-2007

Direct a team of Research Engineers, CAD Designers and Product Engineers, responsible for developing and designing new products for the automotive industry. Responsible for a $4 Million annual budget.

Developed process to utilize offshore design support in China and India.Transferred engineering knowledge between Europe and North America on a new product lines. Air Registers with In-Mold-Assembly are now 40% of North American new business. TRW Europe now using North American developed sealing for new PRVs.

Track leader of a multi functional multinational team for development of the TRW EF&C Global E-business system that standardizes workflows globally resulting in decreased lead time from customer quote request to quote response. The system also improves communications between departments in all TRW EF&C locations.

Implemented patented fastening features in alternative products such as grab handles, and coat hooks. Designed a patented all plastic handle capable of holding in excess of 500 pounds with tool-less installation system. This System gave the customer an ‘on vehicle’ cost advantage and a reduction in assembly repair issues. Product Engineer, 1992-1995 Roseville, Michigan
