SUMMARY

*-***** ********** ** ******* as teaching assistant in Math&Statistics department, University of North Florida. 12 years experience of teaching Math in a high school of China. Very strong Math background.

2-years SAS experience. Solid background in Math & Statistics, especially in using statistical methodologies such as regression, ANOVA, ANCOVA, repeated measure design, paired t-test, Chi-Square-test, F-test; using PROC LIFETEST/PROC HPREG for survival analysis, and Cox Proportional Hazards, etc.

Hands-on experiences of data manipulation and SAS procedures to generate table/listing/figure and report, and code debugging and validation. Often using SAS CODE: TABULATE REPORT, REG, GLM, MEANS, UNIVARIATE, ROBUSTREG, SGPLOT, and GLIMMIX with LSMESTIMATE, GLM with LSMEANS. Thorough working experience in Base SAS, SAS MACRO, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/ODS in Windows environment. Developed SAS programs using Base SAS for sorting, merging, and data validations. Using PROC CATMOD, LOGISTIC, FREQ, PROBIT, and GENMOD etc. for categorical data analysis.

2-years experience of using some R packages for projects such as PACKAGE KMSURV, SURVIVAL, KNITR, GGPLOT, PERM, BOOT, and MATRIX.

Using Mat-lab to do numerical analysis. Being proficient in Lagrange interpolating method, Neville’s method, Newton’s divided-difference method (including forward/backward method), Hermite method, and Cubic spline interpolation method. Richardson extrapolating method, Adaptive quadrature method, Gaussian quadrature method, Composite Simpson’s rule, Composite Trapezoidal rule, Composite Midpoint rule, Euler’s method, Taylor method, Runge-Kutta method, Multistep method, Linear/Nonlinear shooting method. Solving Initial-value problems for Ordinary Differential Equations, Boundary-value problems for ODE; and solving some partial differential equations such as Laplace’s equation, Elliptic equation, parabolic equation, and hyperbolic equations. Using an appropriate method to get interpolation, polynomial approximation, numerical differentiation and integration.

EXPERIENCE

MAYO CLINIC, JACKSONVILLE FL

Data Analysis, clinical research trainee Jul 2017 – Present

Collaborate with clinical investigators in Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, attend project meetings and perform survival analysis by SAS and R.

UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA, JACKSONVILLE FL

Mathematical & Statistics Department Teaching Assistant Aug 2015 – May 2017

Helping to make some statistical courses design and recording/sorting data. Giving the lectures to the students every week. Reporting by MS Office tools such as Excel/Word/PPT. Helping some students to complete the projects and using PROC REG, TRANSPOSE, FREQ, GLM, GLIMMIX, SGPLOT, UNIVARIATE, MEANS, CORR.

Completed some projects by myself and Interpreted quantitative results and wrote reports for the professor. For example, the projects are: 1) Conducting a multiple regression analysis to evaluate the effects of 10 environmental factors on the rate of methane production (MR) from the given data, developing a model to best fit the dependent variable MR (Completed by SAS); 2) Collecting a data and use it to construct a bootstrap interval for the average dollars that a student at UNF spends on a haircut. (Completed by R); 3) Using systematic permutation and random permutation to test the treatment means in one-way ANOVA setting (Completed by R); 4) Reporting regression with frailty in survival analysis (Completed by R and SAS); 5) Analyze a data set using two-way ANOVA (including fixed effects model or random effects model) and report outliers, factor levels, model used, hypothesis test results, contrast test results, comparison results, my findings and remedial actions, conclusion (Completed by SAS);

Participating in project meetings and department meetings. Teaching STAT2014, STAT 3032.

Additionally, I have been teaching Math in a high school from 1999 2010. I am proficient on college algebra, advanced linear algebra, geometry and calculus. Strong WORD/EXCEL/PPT skills.
