SKILLS SUMMARY:

I have been involved with UNIX/Linux for the past 20+ years as a programmer and system administrator, in a team lead role. As a contractor I was at MetLife, I worked on the Distribution and Automation Tools Team, designing, maintaining, and installing SDA tools. Before that I was at Cisco as a Mobility team member on the Verizon account. I trained on the Cisco Policy Suite product and completed all the new hire training required and Before that I was at IBM in the software development, automation deployment and test group.

During this time I maintained UNIX/LINUX/Windows environments, performed code deployments using various tools, EX: Urban Code Deploy (UCD), Jenkins, and custom Unix and PHP scripts. Developed deployment and monitoring scripts to capture system performance. I help drive metrics to determine system sizing and design. Worked with Databases, DB2 and SQL, did backups and restores of complete systems and environments. I was system administrator in large enterprise environment providing computing platforms that support Oracle RAC, SAP and web applications. Responsibilities included installation of the base environments, individual servers, maintenance of the servers and supporting the UNIX/Linux Operating System as it related to the SAP, Oracle RAC, TCP/IP networks, Tomcat, Apache, Netbackup/Omniback, mainframe connectivity, Windows servers, printers. Duties also included scripting using Perl and shell to create custom monitoring and performance analysis. I was also involved in Disaster Recovery exercises on-site and IBM BCRS in Sterling Forest, NY for several years. This included on-call rotation, change implementation, problem resolution, and special projects.
