Am currently employed working for Xcel Energy as a Planning Engineer/Consultant for Smart Grid Technologies. Have worked for Rivada Networks as a Senior RF to TCP/IP Network Engineer. Worked with service providers to order MPLS backhauling for Motorola Radio Networks. Worked at Serco as a TCP/IP Network Engineer designing LAN, MAN, and WAN networks using Cisco layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, router and medium converters. Have designed and deployed networks using (VPN, VLAN, 802.1q) and (Spanning Tree, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP). During deployment I configured Cisco routers using Command Line Interface commands. Experienced in writing/administering ACL (Access Control lists) and firewall policies. Able to work independently and handle multiple projects/sites at one time in various stages of the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). Knowledgeable of X.25 to IP. Worked on DOT FasTracks projects in Denver, CO on TCP/IP proposals, wireless site surveys, and network designs. Have also been employed by UPRR as an I.T. Construction Supervisor/Project Manager in Denver, CO over seeing microwave backhauling and TCP/IP network new construction for a 5 state region. I have installed and tested fiber project, 900 MHz Microwave Digital Systems, 6-5GHz WiMAX, and 2.4/5Ghz Wifi projects. Preformed backup power plant generator installs in Utah and IEEE 802.11a Orthogonal radio under build throughout Southern Utah. I know how to construct and test fiber (MM and SM), copper (UTP and STP), coaxial (R-59/6/LDF4/etc.), waveguide, and Microwave facilities. I also have taken college courses in CAD2004 and blueprint reading which gives me the ability to read and construct blueprint drawings. I worked for Qwest Communications Inc. in support of the 2002 Olympics as a Central Operation Supervisor for Northern Utah, PPCI/SBC as Project Manager, and the U.S.Army preforming work inside and outside plant system installations as a Supervisor.
