RE: Junior Marketing Representative
I’d like to express my interest in the Junior Marketing Representative position available at your company. Upon graduating university with an Honours Bachelor of Sport Management Degree, I further expanded my knowledge with a Media and Communications Diploma. After completing my education, I spent three years abroad gaining extensive experience in communications, events and marketing. Now returned to Canada, working for your company will allow me to apply the skills I have acquired while also growing and expanding my career.
As the Communications Officer at Comic Relief, I was responsible for the execution of communication tactics that led to this year’s successful charity campaign. Spanning across the UK, this campaign was strategically delivered through local and regional print, broadcast, digital and social channels. I was accountable for planning and implementing promotional media events with Comic Relief’s funded charities, corporate partners and high profiled celebrities to provide high quality media coverage. I took initiative in this role by strengthening relationships with media contacts to support the communication campaigns and maximize media coverage.
With Snowsport Scotland’s communications team, I was a key player in the implementation of national strategic communications and marketing initiatives to enhance brand recognition and drive business through membership sales and engagement. Here, I was heavily involved in concept and creative development, strategic communication planning, monitoring social media, and writing communication materials including press releases, articles, social posts, and interview and photo call briefing documents.
Along with my experience, I bring with me a creative spirit, ambition, and an enthusiasm for the dynamic, fast paced and complex challenges presented in this role. I am a very quick learner and I am looking to push myself and my career further by working on the agency side of business. I have a tremendous passion for marketing, and I have the ability to adapt to new environments. I am confident I would be an excellent fit with your company.
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kindest regards,
Samantha Brewer
